Items that can be donated:

  • Bedroom Furniture
  • Living Room Furniture
  • Kitchen & Dining Room Tables and Chairs
  • Bed Linens and Blankets of All Sizes
  • Bed Pillows - must be new
  • Bath and Kitchen Towels
  • Basic Kitchen Items
  • Clean Plastic Grocery Bags
     

All items need to be in working order and free of rips, tears, stains, cigarette burns and animal hair.

Items we do not accept: baby items, clothing, electronics, exercise items, major appliances, medical items, computers, large desks, china cabinets, sleeper sofas and entertainment centers.

We appreciate your donations; so please do not leave items outside of our doors for Mother Nature or her critters to destroy.

Have large items that you need some help with?

We are happy to schedule a pick up of our large furniture donations. This service is complimentary in Allen County and we ask that all items if possible be on the main floor. We schedule pick ups by zip code so give us a couple weeks notice when donating.

If you live outside our home county; please give us a call to discuss your donation.

The Mustard Seed truck will be coming to DeKalb County to pick up large furniture and items that still have life to share on:

    October 21
    November 18
    December 16

We are only accepting the first 15 donations for pick up on these months – so call 260-471-5802 ext. 5 to schedule your pick up! These days we will be providing complimentary pick up to our friends in DeKalb county!

Financial Donations:

  • We accept individual and corporate donations to assist with our overall operation
  • Consider a donation of stock to assist the work that is accomplished
  • Or purchase a child a bed for our Beds4Kids Program

  • Have an excessive amount of gift cards...remember the Mustard Seed can utilize gas cards, along with the purchase of items from Kohls, Meijer's, Target, Wal-Mart
  • If you know of a friend, co-worker or peer who is a member of a foundation board or serves as a trustee; please share the mission of the Mustard Seed with them to increase their awareness
